Be Well Big Sky
Be Well Big Sky is a grassroots movement transforming community health through everyday peer-to-peer support, mutual aid, and systems integration. At its core is the Navigator Network—a collective of trained local volunteers who offer emotional support, bridge people to resources, and co-create solutions from within the community. Together, Be Well Big Sky is building a culture of care where well-being is a shared responsibility and every person belongs.
Holistic Emotional First Aid Program Evaluation
Holistic Emotional First Aid builds resilience and strengthens systems of community care through body-based, trauma-informed tools. Using a train-the-trainer model, 32 local facilitators have led 27+ workshops across 14 businesses and organizations, reaching over 800 participants. In partnership with Montana State University, Fractal is embedding a participatory evaluation strategy to measure impact, uplift resident voice, and guide future adaptation for other rural and mountain communities.
Community First Aid
Community First Aid is a collaborative, place-based model built for real workplaces and real people, combining simple nervous-system tools, peer support, and trauma-informed practices that create safer, more connected environments.
Building a culture of care and community of practice.
-
Learn short, science-based tools to reset the nervous system before, during, or after stressful events.
-
Develop trusted peer networks—trained “navigators” who offer grounded, low-barrier support and connection to resources.
-
Build a culture where emotional check-ins and debriefs are normalized, not exceptional.
-
Integrate the model into existing structures: staff meetings, shift changes, or team check-ins so it becomes part of how the workplace functions, not an extra task.
